Banco Adopem

On the 11th of May 2004, Banco de Ahorro y Crédito Adopem, S.A. was created as a productive finance-oriented financial institution. Since its establishment, it has been loyal to its mission, bound to the rules and regulations shaped by the monetary authorities of the Dominican Republic; it offers specialized products and services tailored to the needs of the most vulnerable and non-banked sectors of the country. The environmental and social performance of its clients are present in the institution's operational dynamics. In 2012, it began to be part of the group of MFIs of the BBVA Microfinance Foundation, the number one operator in volume of customers with individual methodology in Latin America, present in five countries through five institutions. This alliance has allowed for the combination of experience, management and technology of both organizations to increase accesibility and the quality of Banco Adopem's financial services to support more people with products that are better adapted to the needs of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises nationwide.
