A panel organized by the BBVA Microfinance Foundation to present its 2016 Social Performance Report entitled “Measuring what really matters”, in the Dominican Republic. Intervening are Claudio González-Vega, President of the BBVAMF Board of Trustees; Mercedes Canalda de Beras-Goico, Executive President of Banco Adopem, the BBVAMF’s local entity; and Stephanie García Van Gool, Director of the Foundation’s Impact Assessment. They will present the data and outcomes of BBVAMF’s activities in the Dominican Republic.

Banco Adopem serves nearly 400.000 vulnerable persons. 90% of the families attended in 2016 earn less than 4.3 USD/day per capita. After three years with the entity, it has been observed that the number of clients belonging in the “poor” segment have been reduced to half thanks to their effort, but also to the financing, mentoring and skills building initiatives delivered by the entity.
