Emprende Microfinanzas has opened new Local Service Offices (LSO) in the towns of Curanilahue and Lebu, reporting to its branch office in Cañete, to provide access to productive loans for entrepreneurs in the most remote areas of the Arauco province.
“For our institution it is a major challenge to expand the number of service points reporting to the Cañete branch office. We are doing this to provide funding for entrepreneurs in the most vulnerable sectors of the population. An important part of this challenge is to reach the most remote areas of the country, where other formal financial institutions are not supporting their entrepreneurship projects”, said Pablo Coloma, general manager of Emprende.
Emprende Microfinanzas provides productive loans and offers training to disadvantaged entrepreneurs to help them develop their businesses and improve their quality of life. It currently supports 15,000 entrepreneurs through 24 branch offices between regions V and IX. “Our goal is to reach more entrepreneurs in the province of Arauco, one of the most vulnerable areas in the country. We can be an opportunity for small retailers in the province, and we took the first step with the opening of two new service offices in Lebu and Curanilahue” explained Pablo Coloma.
The new Emprende Microfinanzas Local Service Offices reporting to the Cañete branch office are located at Caupolicán No. 736, in Curanilahue, and at Bulnes No. 345, in Lebu.
