Microserfin customer recognized at the “Microenterprise for Development 2014” Awards

Microserfin’s entrepreneur Hilda Hernández received the 1st prize in the “Service” category and the special recognition “Community Impact, which honors the support on job creation activities that have a positive impact on community improvement. This took place during the “Microenterprise for Development 2014” awards organized by Citi Panamá and the National Competitiveness Center.

Hilda Hernández owns a transport and tourist guide business, “Bayano Tours”, whose growth has been supported by Microserfin through its financial products and services.

Microserfin currently serves more than 13,600 disadvantaged entrepreneurs, helping them develop their businesses through its specialty and methodology, Responsible Productive Finance.

The “Microenterprise for Development” awards are organized annually in 32 countries, 13 of them in Latin America. In Panama, these prizes are awarded in five categories: Trade, Industry, Service, Creativity and Innovation, and Rural Enterprise.

In the 2014 edition of these awards, Microserfin, participating for the seventh year in a row, submitted 25 nominations from enterprising customers.
