Onda MF Podcast #13: Banco Adopem, at the launch of the United Nations Decade for Family Farming

Banco Adopem, the Dominican institution of the BBVA Microfinance Foundation, participated in the regional launch of the United Nations Decade for Family Farming held in the Dominican Republic.  This initiative is spearheaded by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), with the aim to strengthen the agricultural sector that employs more than 60 million people in Latin America and the Caribbean, and raise awareness, especially in developing countries.

During his intervention, the coordinator of Banco Adopem´s value chain projects, José Miguel Méndez, highlighted the support that Banco Adopem provides rural entrepreneurs, especially towards women, by offering green loans and skills training adapted to their needs.
