Banco ADOPEM expands its services in the Dominican Republic with new branch offices and banking subagents

Banco ADOPEM has reinforced its network of customer service points for disadvantaged entrepreneurs in the Dominican Republic. In the last quarter of 2015 the bank added another ten branch offices and 13 banking subagents to its network in Santo Domingo and the interior of the country.

With this reinforcement the institution now has 70 branch offices and 85 banking subagents, and offers its loan services to over 800,000 people.

As of December 2015, the bank has a current loan portfolio of DR$ 5,058,772.671 for a total of 219,029 credit customers, and a savings portfolio of DR$ 722.595.996,22 for 351,843 savings customers.

The new branch offices represent over 19,000 loans for a total amount of DR$ 390,475,537 in its loan portfolio. They serve 19,793 customers, 73% of whom are women (14,381) and 27% men (5,412).

The new branch offices are located in the Pola Las Terrenas Supermarket, Villa Rosa-La Vega, La Bombita-Azua; Puerto Plata, Elías Piñas, Los Guaricanos, Los Americanos, Mendoza, Sabana Centro and Multiplaza La Romana.

Banco ADOPEM’s banking subagents (SABs) are channels for promoting Responsible Productive Finance and offering services to microenterprises in rural and urban sectors. With a total of 142,030 transactions made, accounting for a total sum of DR$ 345,550,318,89 up to 31 December, 2015, they are located in municipalities all around the country.

The new banking subagents are Fantasía D Jesús María, Panadería Repostería María José, Súper Colmado El Conuco, BB IPHOHE, Tienda Carolín, Comercial Expresso Egadany, Supermercado La Bendición, De Variedades Marisol, Tienda Las Mellizas, Academia de Belleza Fresa, Botica Popular, Farmacia Danny and Farmacia Hermanos Reyes.
