The Queen heads roundtable “Exceptional women: the value of an opportunity” at BBVA Microfinance Foundation

BBVA Microfinance Foundation hosts a roundtable entitled “Exceptional women: the value of an opportunity”, to show what difference an opportunity makes when it comes to overcoming barriers and fulfilling goals. Women from different sectors will take part in the debate. As positive points of referece for the youth, their lives are an example of how hard work, coupled with opportunity, helps make dreams come true. Her Majesty the Queen will head the discussion group.

Carlos Torres Vila, BBVA group executive chairman delivers the opening remarks, which focuses on the need to make opportunities more accessible to women to lessen gender gaps and CEO for BBVAMF, Javier M. Flores, moderates the table.
    The following speakers will share their journey towards achieving success in their respective fields, as well as the importance of education to build a better future.
    • Guisela Martínez, Peruvian entrepreneur served by BBVAMF, who makes a living by driving a truck for carbon haulauge.
    • Rosa Muñoz, Geology student
    • Lita Cabellut, internationally-renowned spanish painter
    • Commander Debora Gómez, helicopter pilot in the Spanish Air Force
    • Lourdes Alameda, national rugby team player, coach and player for the Sanse Scrum club
    • Magdalena Verdú, plumber and owner of a gas installation business
