BBVA Microfinance Foundation participates in the III Symposium on “Legal Security on Investments in Iberoamerica”, organized by the General Council on Notaries (Consejo General del Notariado-CGN), the State Secretariat for International Cooperation and for Ibero-America and the Caribbean (SECIPI-MAEC), and the Iberoamerican General Secretariat (SEGIB).

The role of entrepreneurship and microfinance on sustainable development will be tackled on this session.

On the 14th of January, head of Women’s Empowerment in BBVAMF, Laura Fernández Lord, participates in the “Women and girls in Ibero-American development policies and entrepreneurship“ round table, together with Esteban Guillermo, Entrepreneurship director at SEGIB, Ana Gallego, from the Ministry of Justice’s Office of International Legal Cooperation, Max Trejo, from the Ibero-American Youth Organization (OIJ), Juan Claudio Abelló, from the Advanced Entrepreneurship Institute, Francisco Blanco, from the Business Incubator Network at the Rey Juan Carlos University, and Ana Bujaldón, from the Spanish Federation of Female Directors, Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs (FEDEPE). José Antonio Riera, vice dean of the Canary Islands’ Notary College will moderate.

On the 15th of January 2019, BBVAMF’s Analysis and Research director Giovanni di Plácido takes part in the round table entitled “Microfinance and development in Iberoamerica”. Also included are Rafael Hoyuela, from the Inter-American Devleopment Bank (IDB), David Tuesta, from the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), and Fernando Jiménez Ontiveros, from the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID).

Juan Alejandro Kawabata, SEGIB adviser on legal and institutional consolidation is moderator for the round table.
