BBVAMF and CAF come together to coordinate efforts for vulnerable entrepreneurs in Latin America

Javier M. Flores, CEO for BBVA Microfinance Foundation, met with Luis Carranza, president for CAF-Development Bank of Latin America, to examine the joint efforts they could undertake to support vulnerable entrepreneurs in the region.

The BBVAMF has been collaborating with CAF since its founding. In 2017, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by Francisco González, executive chairman for BBVA and Luis Carranza, president for CAF, formalized the good relationship between both organizations.

CAF is a development bank created nearly 50 years ago, owned by 19 countries- 17 in Latin America (including five countries where the Foundation operates), as well as Spain and Portugal- and 13 private banks in the region.
