The BBVAMF presents its social performance evaluation system in Luxembourg

The BBVA Microfinance Foundation has presented its social performance evaluation system in the “Responsible Inclusive Finance 2018”, held on the 18th and 19th of June and organized by the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, with the support of the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg as part of the events of the Social Performance Task Force (SPTF).

During these days, more than 50 financial inclusion experts attended and analyzed the guidelines regarding social performance measurement in financial inclusion, which reflects a growing interest in the topic.

Stephanie García Van Gool, director for Impact Assessment in the BBVAMF participated in two panels that promote the evaluation of social performance in financial inclusion. In this occasion, socially responsible investors from the private and public sectors were convened. “In the BBVAMF, we use a quantitative and qualitative metric system oriented to systematically and periodically analyze the progress of the vulnerable entrepreneurs we serve”, she shared during the session.
