Microfinance rating agency MicroRate has ratified its Client Protection Certification for Banco Adopem. This certification is handed to financial institutions that deliver adequate service standards to clients, after an exhaustive and independent assessment.
“Banco Adopem has once again shown its commitment to responsable client treatment, in line with global protection”, explains MicroRate.
In 2015, Banco Adopem received this certificate issued by The Smart Campaign program, turning into the first Dominican microfinance institution to receive this international merit, achieved only by 10 Latin American institutions and 45 global ones.
Microfinance institutions that get this acknowledgement abide by seven ethical and responsible operations principles, such as price and cost transparency for products, respectful client treatment, personal information privacy and prevention of over-indebtedness.
With its global Client Protection Certification program, The Smart Campaign analyzes institutions around the world that offers financial services to low-income people.
