Banco Adopem raises awareness on the importance of savings to the youth

On March 12th to 16th, the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic hosted the V Economic Promotion Week in its Santo Domingo and Santiago branches. During this event, Banco Adopem promoted, personalized financial education, among other financial services.

Throughout the week, the BBVAMF’s Dominican institution advocated to raise awareness on the importance of savings among youth and children. The MFI also presented programs, projects and activities related to financial education, all of them developed in its Training Center. The idea is that personalized financial education gives guidance on how to make businesses grow, which in turn would improve people’s lives.

Two lectures geared towards the challenges and capacities of the new millennium, as well as the importance of savings, have also been delivered, targeting children aged 12 to 18 years old.

In the Regional Office of Santiago, similar activities have taken place, and through Adopem ONG, the bank conceived a special edition of financial education for young boys and girls, “because they are the future entrepreneurs of the country.”

In addition to the above-mentioned activities, Banco Adopem also presented its very own MIA childrens’ savings account as well as the EDUCA-T student loan, instructional videos and educational games to students from different schools.

The BBVAMF Group, to which Banco Adopem belongs, provides financial education, products and services to entrepreneurs it serves, helping them progress with their enterprises.
