Laura Fernández Lord, in charge of women’s empowerment at BBVA Microfinance Foundation, will speak at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women CSW61 (2017), that commemorates the progress made towards gender equality and will be a space for reflection for women of all cultures to debate together on the next best steps.
She will make a verbal intervention, presenting important data about the over 1.8 million vulnerable people served by the Foundation in Latin America, of whom 60% are women.
