Colombia

Measuring realities that drive dreams

Bancamía, with 1.5 million customers, is a leading bank in its country and remains firm in its efforts to improve the quality of life of Colombians. In 2022, it has managed to serve nearly 103,000 new entrepreneurs, where 90% were in a situation of economic vulnerability.
The growth of its microenterprises makes it possible to reduce the income gap and results in a 22% reduction in the segment of the poor after two years of financial relationship.

Peru

By generating opportunities, we move forward with people.

Financiera Confianza is a well-known microfinance institution with a footprint across the whole of Peru, serving over 640,000 entrepreneurs, which succeeded in banking over 35,000 people in 2022.
Their economic vulnerability (32% are poor) and multidimensional poverty (33% are poor across several dimensions) makes it essential to promote initiatives that help them increase their chances of getting ahead, boosting the growth of their businesses, improving their housing conditions, health and education.

Dominican Republic

Effort and creativity, the ingredients of success

Banco Adopem serves more than 440,000 customers and maintains its firm commitment to serving people in vulnerable situations (86%). Its ability to incorporate them into the formal financial system (72% are banked) through its financial products and services is outstanding.
Banco Adopem is committed to the sustained progress of entrepreneurs, not only in their business, but also in housing, education and health, with the aim of reducing the deprivations faced by at least 35% of its households.

Chile

A community effort, to go further.

Fondo Esperanza is the largest group lending entrepreneurship community in Chile. It serves more than 120,000 people through loans, a wide range of education programs, and the promotion of support networks.
The majority of entrepreneurs are women (79%) who seek a flexible work/life balance in entrepreneurship. The sales of these businesses grow on average by 41% per year, with a positive trend over time.

Panama

Empowering a business, generating many impacts.

Microserfin serves more than 18,000 entrepreneurs and maintains its commitment to the sustainable development of their families. Its work focuses on underserved and rural areas of Panama and the inclusion of people in the system.
After the crisis caused by the pandemic, close to 60% of entrepreneurs have made some change in their business, achieving a positive impact on their sales.
It is key to accompany entrepreneurs with broader service provision. In 2022 Microserfin has moved forward on this strategy with the launch of its flagship product: Casafin.
