En esta ocasi\u00f3n especial, el <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oecd.org\/development\/development-gender\/\">Centro de Desarrollo de la OCDE<\/a> lanza la cuarta edici\u00f3n del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.genderindex.org\/\"><em>Reporte Global del \u00cdndice de Instituciones Sociales y G\u00e9nero (SIGI) 2019<\/em><\/a><em>: Transformando desaf\u00edos en oportunidades.<\/em> El SIGI es una herramienta innovadora para expertos en desarrollo que permite entender las barreras al empoderamiento de las mujeres y a la igualdad de g\u00e9nero. El SIGI se enfoca en las instituciones sociales de una manera hol\u00edstica, analizando situaciones de jure y de facto en 180 pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, ha sido reconocido como una fuente estad\u00edstica oficial para monitorear el progreso en el ODS 5.1.1.
