{"id":6215,"date":"2016-12-09T10:05:02","date_gmt":"2016-12-09T10:05:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/progresomicrofinanzas.org\/en\/?p=6215"},"modified":"2017-11-17T13:32:48","modified_gmt":"2017-11-17T13:32:48","slug":"procedure-for-publishing-social-responsibility-reports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/revistaprogreso\/en\/procedure-for-publishing-social-responsibility-reports\/","title":{"rendered":"Procedure for publishing Social Responsibility Reports"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-right\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/revistaprogreso\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/6215?print=pdf\" class=\"pdfprnt-button pdfprnt-button-pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/revistaprogreso\/wp-content\/plugins\/pdf-print\/images\/pdf.png\" alt=\"image_pdf\" title=\"View PDF\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/revistaprogreso\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/6215?print=print\" class=\"pdfprnt-button pdfprnt-button-print\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/revistaprogreso\/wp-content\/plugins\/pdf-print\/images\/print.png\" alt=\"image_print\" title=\"Print Content\" \/><\/a><\/div><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Ministerial Order has been enacted as part of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spanish Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It picks up on the recommendations made on this subject by the European Union and on other initiatives by organisations and international bodies such as the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the United Nations and the International Labour Organisation (ILO), among others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are currently a large number of institutions, both public and private, publishing social responsibility reports, annual and otherwise, that inform the market about their good practice or results obtained by applying policies designed to foment environmental sustainability, good governance and responsible consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This order has two goals: to give initiatives and policies developed by undertakings and organisations more visibility; and to enable institutions covered by the scope of<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:32014L0095&amp;from=ES\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Directive 2014\/95\/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 October<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(hereinafter, the EU Directive) to disclose non-financial and diversity information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Order affects companies, organisations, institutions, public and private entities, public administrations and those institutions that have to apply the<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/progresomicrofinanzas.org\/en\/non-financial-reporting-directive\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EU Directive<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (public interest institutions with more than 500 employees during the financial year, at their reporting date).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>PUBLIC FILE<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Order provides for the creation of a <\/span><b>public file on line<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, on the Ministry for Employment &amp; Social Security website, where annual and other reports will be uploaded. The information contained should cover the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Good corporate governance<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commitment to the environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Information on environmental, social and good governance issues (ESG criteria)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fight against corruption and bribery<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Improvement in labour relations<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stakeholder opinions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Policies of universal access and inclusion of groups at risk of social exclusion<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diversity and equality policies<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respect, protection and defence of human rights<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transparency in the undertaking\u2019s management<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other areas that demonstrate a commitment to the values and principles of corporate social responsibility and sustainability<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><i>REGISTRATION AND PUBLICATION PROCEDURE<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>specific procedure <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for registering and publishing social responsibility and sustainability reports has been defined. Furthermore, companies that are required to apply the EU Directive and follow this procedure will be exempted from having to present non-financial and diversity information in a separate document from the management report.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order for the undertakings to be able to apply to publish their reports, they should present a statement of responsibility certifying the truth of the information supplied. They should, likewise, specify whether the annual report has been prepared using any particular model, and whether it has been verified or audited by any external body.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The registration and publication procedure will be online and consist of two phases, which are regulated in article 4 of the Order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>COMMITMENT TO SOCIETY<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This measure seeks to foment transparency in public and private undertakings, and to support the development of responsible practices, so that they become a significant driver of competitiveness, while encouraging inclusive and sustainable growth in society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Ministerial Order has been enacted as part of the Spanish Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy.
