{"id":5503,"date":"2016-07-05T08:22:36","date_gmt":"2016-07-05T08:22:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/progresomicrofinanzas.org\/en\/?p=5503"},"modified":"2017-11-20T11:35:59","modified_gmt":"2017-11-20T11:35:59","slug":"investor-protection-and-information-transparency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/revistaprogreso\/en\/investor-protection-and-information-transparency\/","title":{"rendered":"Investor protection and information transparency"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-top-right\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/revistaprogreso\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5503?print=pdf\" class=\"pdfprnt-button pdfprnt-button-pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/revistaprogreso\/wp-content\/plugins\/pdf-print\/images\/pdf.png\" alt=\"image_pdf\" title=\"View PDF\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/revistaprogreso\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5503?print=print\" class=\"pdfprnt-button pdfprnt-button-print\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/revistaprogreso\/wp-content\/plugins\/pdf-print\/images\/print.png\" alt=\"image_print\" title=\"Print Content\" \/><\/a><\/div><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Stock Exchange Supervisor (Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores or SMV) has modified the regulations governing relevant events and confidential information, passed in SMV Resolution 005-2014-SMV\/01, which became law on<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">publication in the official state gazette, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Peruano<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on 18th June 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Relevant Events &amp; Confidential Information Regulations, among other things, set out the body of rules that must be applied by issuers when disclosing relevant events or maintaining confidentiality, as well as a list of some of the events that should be taken by issuers as triggers for submitting information to the SMV, to stock markets and to the officer in charge of the central trading mechanism where the securities are listed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This modification to the earlier Regulation has the following aims:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To give issuers greater flexibility to approve internal guidelines for effective compliance with the regulations;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To acknowledge that the general manager <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(gerente general)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the issuers will take the role of the designated or acting stock exchange representative in the event of the temporary or permanent absence of the same,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To incorporate the obligation for issuers to disclose their monthly positions in financial derivatives contracts, since this information is useful for tracking companies\u2019 currency hedging.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The regulation came into force on 19<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> June 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Stock Exchange Supervisor (Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores or SMV) has modified the regulations governing relevant events and confidential information, passed in SMV Resolution 005-2014-SMV\/01, which became law on publication in the official state gazette, El Peruano on 18th June 2016.
