The challenge in our footprint:
financial inclusion

As a driver of development and social inclusion,
the Foundation manages to attract the most
vulnerable to access financial services.

Poverty and vulnerability

Despite the progress made, 25 million people are still poor. What is more, a significant part of the population, while not technically “poor” have highly vulnerable incomes.

With a large proportion of jobs in the informal economy

Entrepreneurship presents a solution in surroundings in which jobs are very precarious: of those with an occupation, 53% work in the informal economy.

Financial exclusion
is the main obstacle
to opportunities

This is the population
served by the Foundation

We serve people in vulnerability -the largest segment- and the poor, who aspire to improve their standard of living with an enterprise. Microfinance acts as a driver of opportunities.
