Adams singles out the activity of the BBVAMF as one of the initiatives that is \u201cleading efforts to standardize the industry around best practices of governance&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9722\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/tim-adams-2-180x270.jpg\" alt=\"tim-adams-2\" width=\"180\" height=\"270\" \/><br \/>\nIn the interview he says: \u201cFor financial inclusion efforts to remain successful, including in the microfinance area, there has to be sufficient oversight, transparency and institutional best practices. These are all essential elements for stable and resilient microfinance players in the long term\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In issue number 8 of \u201cProgreso,\u201d the <strong>Editorial <\/strong>\u201cRegulation and economic growth\u201d by Giovanni di Placido, director of Analysis and Studies at the BBVAMF, explains how \u201cregulation does not have a one-on-one, linear impact on growth but acts on two fundamental drivers: investment and productivity\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the core principles of regulation is that it should foster efficiency, efficacy and simplicity in the markets that it targets.
