{"id":5807,"date":"2016-03-29T19:21:11","date_gmt":"2016-03-29T17:21:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/en\/s-m-la-reina-visita-la-fundacion-microfinanzas-bbva-para-conocer-su-actividad\/"},"modified":"2017-05-11T09:20:44","modified_gmt":"2017-05-11T09:20:44","slug":"s-m-la-reina-visita-la-fundacion-microfinanzas-bbva-para-conocer-su-actividad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/en\/s-m-la-reina-visita-la-fundacion-microfinanzas-bbva-para-conocer-su-actividad\/","title":{"rendered":"H.M. the Queen visits the BBVA Microfinance Foundation to learn about its activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">On Wednesday 30 March, Her Majesty the Queen will hold a work meeting with the chairman of BBVA, Francisco Gonz\u00e1lez, the managing director, Javier Flores, the board of trustees, the management team, and the heads of the international banks in the BBVA Microfinance Foundation, to learn more about the work they do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The chairman of BBVA will present Queen Letizia with the zero issue of the 2015 Performance Report, \u201cMeasuring what really matters\u201d, which shows the progress of the 1.7 million people served by the Foundation in seven countries in Latin America.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The BBVA Microfinance Foundation is currently one of the leading philanthropic initiatives in terms of social impact in Latin America: its work improves the lives of 7 million people in Colombia, Peru, Dominican Republican, Chile, Panama, Argentina and Puerto Rico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">83% of the small entrepreneurs it serves are poor or vulnerable, and the majority are women.
