Fondo Esperanza is celebrating its 13 years of active service in contributing to the development of low-income entrepreneurs in Chile. The bank passed this milestone on October 3 2015, and reaffirmed its commitment to its customers to support the growth of their productive enterprises through an all-inclusive microfinancing service.<\/p>\n
Thanks to its hard work and dedication, Fondo Esperanza is currently the largest social enterprise community in Chile, with a presence in 240 communes between Arica and Chilo\u00e9. In the near future, the bank is set on achieving its goal of serving 100,000 micro-entrepreneurs \u2013people who have chosen the path of entrepreneurship as a means of getting ahead and creating well-being for their families and communities.<\/p>\n
The bank’s customers reflect the Chilean people’s hard work and expectation of raising their standard of living. Each entrepreneur represents a testimony to the spirit of endeavor, to desires and dreams fulfilled, and projects for the future. Fondo Esperanza contributes to making these projects a reality by supporting the entrepreneurs with productive loans and providing training and networks adapted to their needs and resources in a way that is tailored to each customer.<\/p>\n
Fondo Esperanza focuses its support on the most vulnerable groups, such as the inmates in the penitentiaries of Osorno, Linares and Quillota, and people living in the street \u2013whether old or young\u2013, because the bank sees no bounds to entrepreneurial spirit.<\/p>\n
For the bank, the keys to starting up and growing an enterprise are confidence and responsibility, qualities that can be seen both individually and at the group level. The bank has over four thousand solidarity groups in its 53 branches.<\/p>\n
In these 13 years there have been innumerable experiences that have filled the over 500 employees that work in Fondo Esperanza with pride and joy.
