This issue is dedicated specifically to women, to coincide with the commemorations of International Women&#8217;s Day.<\/li>\n<li>Access to number 6 of \u201cProgreso\u201d in <a href=\"http:\/\/progresomicrofinanzas.org\/\">spanish<\/a> and in <a href=\"http:\/\/progresomicrofinanzas.org\/en\/\">english <\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new issue of \u201cProgreso\u201d includes an interesting <em>interview with Rebeca Grynspan<\/em>, the Ibero-American Secretary General \u2013the first woman to occupy the post\u2013, whose career serves as a clear example of female leadership. She previously held the posts of Vice-President of Costa Rica, UN Under-Secretary-General and Associate Administrator of the Development Program (UNDP) at the United Nations, where she was also regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>In the interview, Rebeca Grysnspan outlines the challenges facing the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) today, and looks at the current situation of <em>women in Latin America<\/em> from the point of view of human rights, gender equality and political engagement.
