This has been proven during the 10<sup>th<\/sup> year celebration of Madrid Autonomous University\u2019s (UAM) M<em>icrofinanzas e Inclusi\u00f3n Financiera<\/em>\u00a0(Microfinance and Financial Inclusion) master\u2019s degree. He shared how Green Finance is enabling another type of <strong>conversation\u00a0 between banks and clients, one that focuses on values instead of transactions<\/strong>, \u201cA different type of finance makes it possible to steer the discussion towards the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This horizon, greener than ever, is the same landscape upheld by the BBVA Microfinance Foundation, who, according to Ballabriga, \u201cis already <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/en\/sector-development\/sostenibilidad\/\">playing an active role in promoting sustainability<\/a>, especially in countries like Colombia and Dominican Republic, directly supporting the entrepreneurs it serves, so they may adopt more respectful measures with the environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>BBVA environment.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He also cited BBVA group executive chairman, Carlos Torres Vila, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pulse\/future-finance-antoni-ballabriga\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reinforced sustainability alongside him, putting it under the spotlight during the latter\u2019s first Shareholders General Meeting<\/a>, \u201cWe aim to be the link between society and the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The liaison between society and the future, was likened to a marital union by the Ibero-American General Secretary, Rebeca Grynspan, who requested for \u201ca renewal of vows in the battle against climate change.\u201d Because according to her, the world has changed radically since the dawn of two agreements in 2015: the United Nations 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement on climate change, \u201cRight now, <strong>only this story exists.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_24638\" style=\"width: 902px\" class=\"wp-caption long-term vision that has to reign over this era of responsibility and recalled former UN general secretary Ban Ki-moon\u2019s words, \u201cWe can be the first generation that ends poverty and the last generation that avoids the worst effects of climate change.\u201d But she declared herself an optimist, transmitting her disposition through the words of acknowledgement she addressed towards students seated in front of her, for believing that change is possible.<\/p>\n<p>The Ibero-American General Secretary, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/en\/my-job-is-to-help-women-who-like-me-have-to-overcome-many-barriers-to-be-independent\/\">who recently intervened in a session hosted by the BBVA Microfinance Foundation in the United Nations<\/a>, also commended the Foundation\u2019s effort, who, as she said, <strong>\u201cis transforming the reality.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One by one, the speakers agreed on the opportunity and the urgency to work for a future that is different and necessary, beyond data, numbers\u2026 UAM Foundation\u2019s CEO, Fidel Rodr\u00edguez, said that,
