While \u00d3scar Vel\u00e1squez in Peru, is helping other small producers like himself to switch from rice paddy fields to much more sustainable local crops, all with the support of BBVAMF.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Exelino Sierra, emprendedor de la FMBBVA, conoce a Jordi Roca, de El Celler de Can Roca\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HRGxf_wQ1Yo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Jordi Roca and Ignacio Medina\u2019s trip to the Amazon began a year ago, when they started researching cacao in all its forms. Aside from Colombia and Peru, the <em>Celler de Can Roca<\/em> pastry chef and the food journalist also travelled to Ecuador. <strong>Jordi plans to establish ongoing relationships with many of the small producers he met, who will supply the chocolate boutique<\/strong> he will be opening shortly in Girona.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis book goes way beyond cacao. There are stories of people\u2019s lives behind it,\u201d explained Ignacio Medina during the book presentation.
