Marco Antonio Zaldivas Garc\u00eda, President of the Board of Directors for the Lima Stock Exchange; Jorge Delgado, President of the Board of Directors for the ASOMIF (Microfinance Institutions\u2019 Association), and Enriqueta Gonz\u00e1lez de S\u00e1enz, General Secretary of the Board of Directors for BBVA Banco Continental.<\/p>\n<p>SBS will be in charge of the closing rites.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop, which will be celebrated in Lima, Peru, is the first among five others to be celebrated in the region in 2018, where the highest standards in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/en\/institutional\/gobierno-corporativo\/\">good corporate governance<\/a> will be addressed.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2011, the BBVA Microfinance Foundation has organized various <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/en\/sector-development\/corporate-governance-training\/\">workshops on this matter.<\/a> The Foundation has trained more than 400 members of directors\u2019 management boards from Colombia, Peru, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica, with the collaboration of Abancord, Asomif, Banca de las Oportunidades, Bancoldex, Fepcmac, Redcamif\/Redcom and other supervising organizations and associations.<\/p>\n<p>The BBVAMF\u2019s corporate governance code was selected as one of the best initiatives in transparency and good governance by the <em>Fundaci\u00f3n Compromiso y Transparencia<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the BBVAMF publishes the magazine <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/en\/sector-development\/progreso\/\">\u201cProgreso: Corporate Governance, Inclusion and Development\u201d<\/a>, where it quarterly informs about the new development and trends on international corporate governance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The BBVA Microfinance Foundation holds the &#8220;I Corporate Governance Workshop: Gaps, challenges and objectives&#8221;, together with the Governance and Corporate Government Institute (Instituto de Gobernabilidad&#8230;
