This year\u2019s edition is focused on the challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and empowerment for rural women and girls.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laura Fern\u00e1ndez Lord, head of Women\u2019s Economic Empowerment at the Foundation, is one of the participants in the official program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She will also be a speaker in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com.br\/e\/weps-in-action-knowledge-exchange-and-networking-event-registration-43942425979?aff=erelexpmlt\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WEPs in Action<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> forum, organized by <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.unwomen.org\/es\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UN Women<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turkonfed.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TURKONFEED<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on 14th March, in the panel entitled \u2018Implementation of WEPs at the Communities\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The BBVAMF serves two million entrepreneurs, in which 6 out of 10 are women.
