In <\/span><b>42% of households, there is at least one adult over 40 years old who has not completed the minimum years of schooling<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> appropriate for their age.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The entrepreneurs we work with are from a <\/span><b>vulnerable population segment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with a <\/span><b>low level of schooling<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as 30% have at most only primary education <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and most have not completed secondary education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the case of women, although 38% of those we assist have basic education, the <\/span><b>majority lack the necessary time to train due to unpaid domestic and caregiving work.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Opportunity<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aware of the importance of education for the progress of individuals, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">their businesses<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the well-being of their households, the Foundation promotes training, capacity building<\/span><b> and support, tailored to their needs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to help them thrive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We ensure that the financial advice and education <\/span><b>offered by entities are short, concise sessions that get to the essentials while providing knowledge and value.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> And we have longer programs that develop over time to consolidate the acquisition of new knowledge and skills.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2023, more than <\/span><b>662,000 people<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> received financial advice, training, or viewed training sessions at the BBVA Microfinance Foundation entities through various digital education has been part of our <a href=\"https:\/\/52.50.61.239\/institucional\/finanzas-productivas\/\">productive finance<\/a> methodology.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Financial <strong>education<\/strong> is essential for fostering economic inclusion as it equips people with the necessary skills to manage their resources and improve their financial health. Providing tools for informed decision-making, allowing them to manage their personal and business finances, is crucial for their <strong>sustainability<\/strong> and ensuring <strong>long-term stability<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the focus on serving and offering the best value proposition to vulnerable entrepreneurs, FMBBVA has expanded its training strategy with a more comprehensive curriculum that includes <strong>digital skills, business management, sustainability, personal empowerment<\/strong><\/span><strong> and vocational training.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, aware that training should not be limited exclusively to our clients but extend to all entrepreneurs in the country\/region, in recent years, all our entities have developed <strong>free and open-access digital learning platforms<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the other hand, we have financial products such as <strong>educational loans<\/strong> since paying for school and university tuition represents an extraordinary expense that many of the families we serve find difficult to afford.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Training Programs<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bancamia.com.co\/echemos-numeros\/\"><b>\u201cEchemos N\u00fameros\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from <\/span><b>Bancam\u00eda: <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Training in business development, empowerment and gender, family well-being, and social capital. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">305,405 people in 2023. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">46% of the total.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/confianza.pe\/confianza\/noticias-confia.php?id=174\"><b>\u201cAprendiendo en Confianza\u201d from Financiera Confianza: <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monthly training in financial education, business strengthening, empowerment &amp; leadership for clients who are part of the &#8220;Palabra de Mujer&#8221; financial product.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">68,351 people in 2023, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">10.3% of the total.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/bancoadopem.com.do\/banco-adopem-y-bid-lab-lanzan-comunidad-emprendedora-digital-para-pymes-lideradas-por-mujeres\/\">\u201cComunidad Emprendedora Digital\u201d from Banco Adopem<\/a>: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creation of the ecosystem to train 5,000 women in 3 years in digital skills, digital business management, digital payments, financial health, and leadership. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1,000 people in 2023, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">20% of the total project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/educacion.fondoesperanza.cl\/\">\u201cEscuela de Emprendimiento\u201d from Fondo Esperanza<\/a>: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">combines in-person and virtual group sessions with a digital platform. Training in business development, empowerment and gender, family well-being, and social capital. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">114,312 people in 2023, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">17.3% of the total.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/microserfin.com\/servicios\/educacion-financiera\/\">\u201cSaquemos Cuentas\u201d from Microserfin<\/a>: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Training in financial health, savings, business management, insurance. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">23,828 people in 2023, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.6% of the total.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><b>Our digital platforms at the entities:<\/b><\/em><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/facilitamossuprogreso.bancamia.com.co\/index.php\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Facilitamos Tu Progreso<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/confianza.pe\/confianza\/academia-confianza\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Academia Confianza<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/crececonadopem.bancoadopem.com.do\/login\/index.php\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crece con Adopem<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/educacion.fondoesperanza.cl\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Escuela de Emprendimiento Digital<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/impulsamostunegocio.microserfin.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Impulsamos tu Negocio<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Educational Loans<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>We promote the education of entrepreneurs through educational loans at our entities<\/strong> in Peru (Educational Loan), Colombia (Educational Development Loan), and the Dominican Republic (EDUCAT), which finance training programs as well as school tuition for entrepreneurs&#8217; children and the acquisition of necessary computer equipment (computers, tablets, etc.).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Banco Adop<\/span><\/p>\n<p>em in the Dominican Republic has been offering <strong>EDUCAT<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for 7 years, providing credit for school tuition and educational expenses for children and adolescents. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2023, <\/span><strong>1,968 people<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> benefited.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Colombia, <\/span><strong>Bancam\u00eda<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has offered the <\/span><strong>Educational Development Loan<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> since 2020, for training and acquiring technological equipment.
