change, which have a greater impact on the vulnerable populations it serves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In recent years, the Foundation has reinforced its <strong>environmental sustainability strategy<\/strong> through various measures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The climate challenge is a fundamental axis of its model, aligned with the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/en\/sector-development\/sustainable-development-goals\/\">Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/a><\/strong> established by the 2030 Agenda and with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unepfi.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Principios-de-Banca-Responsable-de-UNEP-FI.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Principles of to\u00a0<strong>reduce the environmental impact.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Measurement of the <strong>carbon footprint<\/strong> of activities under the <a href=\"https:\/\/ghgprotocol.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greenhouse Gas Protocol<\/a> methodology.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Training and awareness<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are committed to the education, training and environmental awareness of entrepreneurs, employees and society as a whole.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In-person training at a <strong>Demonstration Farm,<\/strong> created to show rural entrepreneurs different measures to mitigate and adapt their livelihoods to climate change.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<img organizations<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Peru:\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Financiera Confianza has signed an agreement with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kimberly-clark.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kimberly-Clark<\/a> to donate wastepaper and help to feed children in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aldeasinfantiles.org.pe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aldeas Infantiles SOS<\/a> villages, where 4kg of recycled paper is equivalent to a meal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Colombia:\u00a0<\/strong>Bancam\u00eda has signed an alliance with the <strong>\u201cPuerta de Oro Bogot\u00e1\u201d Recyclers Association<\/strong> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/fundaciondelquemado.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Fundaci\u00f3n del Quemado.<\/strong><\/a> During 2019, a total of 6,641 kg of recyclable materials have been donated.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>VALUE PROPOSITION<\/h2>\n<h3>Commitment to entrepreneurs<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We promote <strong>green finance<\/strong> in all sectors and settings, classified under 5 \/>\n<p><strong>Projects:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Microfinance for Ecosystem-based Adaptation (MEbA):<\/strong> Program, launched in Colombia and the Dominican Republic, in partnership with UNEP and local institutions in each country, to implement the application of new technologies and mitigation and adaptation measures to climate change.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Eco Vivienda:<\/strong> pilot project in the Dominican Republic in partnership with Habitat for Humanity to facilitate the sustainable self-construction of rural housing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Ecocr\u00e9dito:<\/strong> also in the Dominican Republic, a financing program to promote the implementation of mitigation and adaptation measures to climate change. All of Banco Adopem&#8217;s green products are part of the Rural Finance and Environment (FRA) program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Water and sanitation:<\/strong> in Peru, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionmicrofinanzasbbva.org\/en\/la-fmbbva-water-org-juntos-facilitar-acceso-agua-saneamiento-personas-vulnerables\/\">BBVAMF has an agreement with Water.org,<\/a> offering the most vulnerable entrepreneurs access to clean water and sanitation systems, also reducing the environmental impact. This alliance seeks to replicate this initiative in the other countries where the Foundation is present.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>SDG IMPACT<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of the
