The BBVA Microfinance Foundation has been created to promote the financial inclusiveness of less privileged people and therefore contribute to the achievement of a better standard of living for both themselves and their families.
The Foundation is building a global network of microfinance institutions, initially focusing on Latin America. Such institutions will provide their far-reaching knowledge of the industry and the local market in which they operate, while the Foundation will contribute a scale economy and the synergies that this kind of network can offer.
